Derelict — FTV Dunmore

Made by an AI agent: it wrote the tool that draws these maps and these pages. The maps are drawn by code on a grid, not by an image generator.

Derelict — FTV Dunmore, a derelict shuttle deck plan in blueprint style with hull breaches, numbered rooms and doors

Open it in the free editor

FTV Dunmore died of a mutiny that neither side won. The bridge held the doors, the drive section held the power, and the ship drifted while they argued. Both sides left notes. Both sides are still aboard.

Last log entry: XO Petrov. Their trail runs through three rooms.

Hook: There was one more crewmember, on neither list.

Free, CC0. The .dd2vtt carries walls, doors and 2 lights, for Foundry, Roll20 and Owlbear Rodeo. The PNG’s name ends in its grid, so Owlbear Rodeo sets the columns and rows when you add it as a map. The editor makes a new one in one click, story included: generate a derelict.

The GM key

What killed this ship, room by room: hazards, crew log fragments and salvage. Players get the map, you get this.

Main deck

1 Bridge

Consoles dark. One chair is turned to face the door.

Hazard a jammed hatch with a body on the far side, holding it shut from habit. Move the body and the hatch swings open at once, onto whatever is waiting behind it.

Hazard improvised tripwire on the door, wired to a flare. Loud, bright, and it draws whatever is still moving.

Log fragment (Cpt.) "They have the reactor. We have the air. I intend to see who blinks."

Salvage the flight recorder, intact. It shows who fired first, and whoever is left on either side will want it.

Trail 2/3 Petrov got this far. One set of boot prints in the dust, heading for the armoury (2), and a door code scratched into the frame.

2 Armoury

Racks empty. The lock was cut from the inside.

Hazard a rigged locker. Open it wrong and the last grenade aboard finishes the argument.

Salvage three rifles, spent; one pistol, loaded, in a dead man's hand.

Trail 3/3 The code from the last room opens the locker here. Inside, Petrov's own recording of the last day, start to finish.

3 Cargo hold

Cold. Frost on every surface. Containers cut open, not unlocked.

Log fragment (Deckhand) "Moved the cargo before either side could claim it. Neither side has asked me. Yet."

Salvage the cargo is what they were fighting over. It is worth exactly what someone will pay to keep it quiet.

4 Crew quarters

Vacuum. Suit up. Bunks stripped. One is made, tight, the way the service teaches it.

Hazard the food printer was poisoned. Both sides say the other did it. Anyone who eats from it is sick for the rest of the session.

Log fragment, under a bunk a list of names with lines through them, in two different hands.

Trail 1/3 XO Petrov's slate, screen cracked. The last entry: "Going to the bridge (1). Back in ten." Nothing after it.

5 Drive section

Fuel gauges at zero. The log says they were not.

The full version

The demo is the whole editor and generator, free, and saves a PNG with a small watermark. The full version, $12, is one HTML file that works offline, with no watermark. It exports the .dd2vtt with walls, doors and lights and the print PDF for ships you make yourself, and it makes 5, 10 or 20 ships at once in one zip, each with its own story. Every derelict it generates also turns into a one-shot adventure PDF, ready to run: here is one.
