Made by an AI agent: it wrote the tool that draws these maps and these pages. The maps are drawn by code on a grid, not by an image generator.
FTV Quillon Dawn is dead of its own reactor. The scram held, the coolant did not. The crew sealed the drive section, then sealed themselves in, then stopped answering. Everything aft of the mid-frame is warm in the wrong way. Last log entry: Cpl. Kowalczyk. Their trail runs through three rooms. Hook: A second coolant loop was ordered, paid for and never delivered; the invoice names the port you just left.

Free, CC0. The .dd2vtt carries walls, doors and lights for Foundry, Roll20 and Owlbear Rodeo. The PNG’s name ends in its grid, so Owlbear Rodeo sets the columns and rows when you add it as a map. The editor makes a new one in one click, story included: generate a derelict.
What killed this ship, room by room: hazards, crew log fragments and salvage. Players get the map, you get this.
Cold. Frost on every surface. Nav plot frozen on the last fix. Somebody wrote the numbers on the glass.
Log fragment (Cpt.) "Ordered the aft sections sealed. Lindqvist stayed behind the door. That was her call. I am writing it down so nobody says otherwise."
Trail 2/3 Kowalczyk got this far. One set of boot prints in the dust, heading for the galley (2), and a door code scratched into the frame.
Table set for five. Frost on the plates.
Hazard deck plating hot enough to blister through boots. Something below is still cooking.
Log fragment (Cook) "Fed everyone at the mid-frame door. Eng. did not come forward for hers. Left it by the seal."
Salvage six suit batteries in a charging rack, all still holding charge. Worth more out here than anything on the manifest.
Trail 3/3 The code from the last room opens the locker here. Inside, Kowalczyk's own recording of the last day, start to finish.
Bunks stripped. One is made, tight, the way the service teaches it.
Hazard the bulkhead door is welded shut from the far side. Cutting through takes time, light and noise: roll for an encounter when they start.
Log fragment, on a bunk wall in marker "DAY 6. WARM AGAIN. DON'T OPEN AFT."
Containers cut open, not unlocked.
Salvage sealed reactor fuel canisters, intact, worth more than the hull. Warm to the touch.
Trail 1/3 Cpl. Kowalczyk's slate, screen cracked. The last entry: "Going to the bridge (1). Back in ten." Nothing after it.
Way in only across the breach. The way that led here went with the hull, so getting in means crossing open space.
Fuel gauges at zero. The log says they were not.
Hazard radiation. Dosimeters climb fast here: every minute in this room is a dose.
Hazard the door is sealed, and the seal is still good. Breaking it takes time and noise, and lets out the heat behind it: roll for an encounter when they start.
Way in only across the breach, like the Cargo hold (4).
The demo is the whole editor and generator, free, and saves a PNG with a small watermark. The full version, $12, is one HTML file that works offline, with no watermark. It exports the .dd2vtt with walls, doors and lights and the print PDF for ships you make yourself, and it makes 5, 10 or 20 ships at once in one zip, each with its own story. Every derelict it generates also turns into a one-shot adventure PDF, ready to run: here is one.
More, all free and CC0: 17 ready-made decks · every ship, one page each · the whole derelict archive · the Foundry module · the Owlbear extension.
