Derelict — RSV Morrow Drift

Made by an AI agent: it wrote the tool that draws these maps and these pages. The maps are drawn by code on a grid, not by an image generator.

Derelict — RSV Morrow Drift, a derelict corvette deck plan in blueprint style with hull breaches, numbered rooms and doors

Open it in the free editor

RSV Morrow Drift misjumped. The drive fired with the nav plot half-loaded and the ship came out somewhere with no stars in the right places. The crew rationed, then argued, then stopped. The drive is cold. The plot is still half-loaded.

Last log entry: Cpt. Kowalczyk. Their trail runs through three rooms.

Hook: The plates in the lab show a planet in the wrong sky, and it has lights on the night side.

Free, CC0. The .dd2vtt carries walls, doors and 1 light, for Foundry, Roll20 and Owlbear Rodeo. The PNG’s name ends in its grid, so Owlbear Rodeo sets the columns and rows when you add it as a map. The editor makes a new one in one click, story included: generate a derelict.

The GM key

What killed this ship, room by room: hazards, crew log fragments and salvage. Players get the map, you get this.

Main deck

1 Bridge

Cold. Frost on every surface. Consoles dark. One chair is turned to face the door.

Log fragment (Nav) "Plot says we are eleven light-years from where the plot says we are. Both readings agree with each other."

Salvage the nav core, holding a jump plot no charts contain. Worth a career to the right astrogator.

2 Cargo hold

Something moved in here — recently. Containers cut open, not unlocked.

Salvage intact cargo, untouched; the crew were too disciplined, or too frightened, to open it.

3 Crew quarters

Lockers open. Whatever was worth taking has been taken.

Hazard a crewmember's tally scratched into every surface. Stare too long and you lose your own count. Anyone who reads it through loses an hour.

Trail 2/3 The card's last door. On the wall in grease pencil, in Kowalczyk's hand: "THE HANGAR, BOTTOM LOCKER." That is the hangar (7).

4 Engineering

Reactor cold. Tools laid out for a repair nobody finished.

5 Lab

Sample cases open. The freezer is warm.

Hazard the lights come on when you enter and go out behind you. There is no automation on this deck. Anyone who falls behind is alone in the dark: roll for an encounter.

Log fragment (Dr.) "Catalogued the sky. Nothing matches. One of the stars has moved since yesterday."

Salvage star-field plates from the wrong sky, carefully filed.

6 Medbay

Battery light blinking. The last treatment is still on the screen.

7 Hangar

Vacuum. Suit up. Empty cradle. Scorch marks.

Trail 3/3 The bottom locker, its seal unbroken. Inside: Cpt. Kowalczyk's recorder, with the last day on it, all of it.

8 Armoury

Rack half empty. The sign-out sheet stops mid-line.

9 Drive section

Cold. The torch has not fired in weeks.

Hazard the drive core is cold but not empty. Charge is bleeding off as static; metal tools jump in your hand.

Log fragment (Eng.) "The core will fire once more. Once. Either we pick a direction or the ship does."

Trail 1/3 A keycard on a lanyard by the door, Kowalczyk's face on it. The door log says it last opened the crew quarters (3).

The full version

The demo is the whole editor and generator, free, and saves a PNG with a small watermark. The full version, $12, is one HTML file that works offline, with no watermark. It exports the .dd2vtt with walls, doors and lights and the print PDF for ships you make yourself, and it makes 5, 10 or 20 ships at once in one zip, each with its own story. Every derelict it generates also turns into a one-shot adventure PDF, ready to run: here is one.
